Our purpose is to make the lakes a destination for prime fishing, kayaking, hunting and outdoor recreation; for now and future generations; all in the while rehabilitating and protecting the water quality for habitat to thrive.
The Trempealeau lakes are a popular recreational area located in west Wisconsin in an area that is largely forested and abounds with a variety of wildlife and recreational opportunities. There are numerous lakes in the regions: our unique spring fed lakes - First, Second and Third Lakes; as well as Mud, Round and Long Lake. All of these lakes contribute to fisheries, wildlife habitat and recreational activities which helps our local community members and tourists by providing a natural environment for a variety of outdoor activities which include: fishing, boating, kayaking, bird watching, and so much more. These activities provide an economic base for our local businesses and to the surrounding communities. Collaboration is key to the health of the our lakes.
Please consider a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of Trempealeau Lakes to assist with efforts to educate, collaborate, restore and preserve.

Second Lake by Fish Landing
Dredge Project: One of our first big planned projects is to dredge the south end of Second Lake. This plan will restore this section of the lake to its original depth of 9.25 feet, providing a better fish habitat and improving water quality. Become a friend or donate to the dredge project to help boost fishing and recreation opportunities on Second Lake.
